To keep our bodies healthy, we enlist a number of resources: http://flic.kr/p/7MRwUT
- Healthy food
- Doctors, hospitals
- Personal trainers
I wonder if we take such active steps to care for our mental health? There still seems to be a cultural stigma when it comes to discussing mental health. Is this real or imagined? Do you think that culture tends to be afraid of mental illnesses, or embrace that mental health is a part of whole-body health?
To stay mentally healthy we could enlist a number of resources:
- Support groups
- Personal growth (reading, classes, etc)
I’m a fan of total body health, that our physical, mental, and spiritual health are connected. If we want to be healthy, whole people, we must take active roles in achieving that goal.
What steps do you take to stay mentally and physically healthy?
